Listening and exports
Download an AI Podcast as MP3, Transcript and SRT
Keep an AI study podcast usable after generation: download MP3, save a TXT transcript, export timed SRT and prepare study notes with print-to-PDF.
AI-assisted editorial guide. Check important claims against the original material; product limits are described as of the publication date.
An MP3 lets you listen later, but a transcript makes the explanation searchable and easier to check. Save both after generating an AI study podcast. Add timed SRT when you need caption cues, and keep the original source alongside the exports.
In Cellcraft, stored episodes currently expire after seven days. Download the files you want to retain before that period ends. A shared listening link and a downloaded file are different things: a link depends on continued access to the hosted episode.
Choose the format for the task
| Format | Best use | What it does not preserve by itself |
|---|---|---|
| MP3 | Offline listening in a compatible player | Searchable text or original source references |
| TXT | Searching, annotating and checking the script | Audio timing |
| SRT | Timed text in a compatible caption workflow | The audio recording or source document |
| Print-to-PDF study notes | Keeping a readable script and takeaways | Interactive playback and source navigation |
Keep the files together with a clear name, such as week-04-memory-review, rather than treating the audio download as the whole archive.
Download the MP3 after checking the result
Wait for audio generation to finish and play a short section. Check the beginning and a later chapter for missing content or confusing pronunciation. Then use Download MP3 in the result player.
Open the saved file in the player you intend to use. If you need offline listening, check playback without relying on the original browser tab. Keep a copy somewhere you can find it later; downloading to a temporary folder is not the same as organizing a study library.
A guest recording is a preview capped at 60 seconds, so downloading it does not turn it into the complete episode. The visible script may contain more material than that preview voices. Signed-in free accounts currently have three monthly renders with a ten-minute maximum per render.
Save the text you reviewed
Use Transcript TXT to keep the script as a plain text file. Add your own source title, chapter or paper reference in a separate note. That gives future-you a way to find the evidence again.
For a guest preview or an episode limited by the audio cap, compare the TXT script with the portion actually voiced. Do not assume every paragraph in a saved script is present in the MP3. This distinction matters if you are reviewing a particular chapter on the move.
Text also gives you another way to use the explanation. The W3C transcript guidance describes transcripts as an alternative way to access media content. Providing text is useful, but a generated transcript still needs review for your audience and purpose.
Understand what the SRT timestamps mean
SRT contains numbered cues with start and end times. An illustrative cue looks like this:
1
00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:04,000
Here is the opening explanation.
The example is not a timing measurement from your episode. Cellcraft's SRT export uses the measured audio cues for the rendered paragraphs. It is not a word-by-word forced-alignment service, so do not expect karaoke-style timing for every word.
If you edit the text or create new audio, export the SRT again. A previous subtitle file may no longer match. If you need short captions with precise line breaks for video, check and refine the exported cues in an appropriate subtitle editor.
Keep a PDF study copy
The Study PDF control opens a print-friendly view. Choose your browser's Save as PDF destination, inspect the preview and confirm that the transcript and takeaways fit the pages. This is a browser print workflow, rather than a separately typeset PDF report.
The PDF is useful for annotation and offline reference. Keep the original course notes or paper as well: a generated script and its takeaways are interpretations of the source, not a replacement for it.
Sharing and privacy checks
Use a public listening link only when you intend to share the episode and have permission to share its material. A private audio or RSS URL can act as an access link, so keep it out of public documents and screenshots.
Revoking a hosted share link does not recall copies someone has already downloaded. Before sharing files, check names, identifying details, confidential material and the accuracy of the explanation. The same checks apply to a transcript, even when it contains no audio.
Create an episode with AI Podcast Generator, prepare a source with the PDF workflow, or use the study routine to turn the saved episode into active review.
